Internship: Finance

Fine Hotels & Suites is looking for a driven and enthusiastic Finance Intern to join our dynamic team. Your primary location will be Buitenplaats de Bergse Bossen, but you will occasionally work at our other locations as well. Buitenplaats de Bergse Bossen is our leading property with 65 rooms, 5 bungalows, 14 meeting rooms, a banqueting restaurant, and our à la carte restaurant, De Brasserie, we offer a unique learning experience in the hospitality industry.

What does your day as a Finance Intern look like?

The work within the Finance department is very diverse, so you won’t have a dull moment during your internship. As an intern at Fine, you will take on specific responsibilities where you are expected to work independently. Your tasks will include supporting the Finance Project Manager with tax-related matters, creating reports, and performing other ad hoc tasks and analyses. You will also be involved in month-end closing and the preparation of the monthly dashboard.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Debtor Management: Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on payments.

• Contract Management: Assist in managing contracts and ensuring timely renewals and revisions.

• P&L / Month-End Closing: Assist with the month-end closing and preparation of the profit and loss statement.

• Balance Sheet Analysis & Maintenance: Analyze and maintain balance sheet accounts, ensuring they are up-to-date.

• Cashflow Reporting: Involved in preparing cashflow reports and monitoring cash movements.

• Process Improvement / AOIC: Contribute to process improvements and assist in implementing administrative organization and internal control.

• Year-End Closing / Audit Support: Assist with the year-end closing and collaborate with auditors during the audit process.

• Payment Preparation: Prepare and process payments on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's/Master's study in a relevant field, such as Business Economics, Hospitality Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar;

• Available for at least 5 months;

• Ability to work independently and demonstrate a proactive attitude;

• Strong analytical skills that enable you to quickly identify connections;

• Ability to adapt quickly, as we follow a schedule but urgent tasks may arise;

• Attention to detail and a precise working approach;

• Willing to take initiative and be solution-oriented.
