Buitenplaats de Bergse Bossen, located in Driebergen, is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Assistant F&B Manager Intern to join our dynamic team. As a leading venue with 65 rooms, 5 bungalows, 14 event spaces, a Banqueting restaurant, and our À la Carte restaurant, the Brasserie, we offer a unique learning experience within the hospitality industry.

 

What does your day as an Assistant F&B Manager Intern look like?
As an Assistant F&B Manager Intern, you will work closely with the F&B Manager to coordinate and optimize the daily operations of our F&B department. You will gain experience in all aspects of F&B management, from planning and organization to guest services and staff management. You will assist in leading shifts under supervision, including breakfast, lunch, the brasserie, and banqueting. You will oversee the team and assist in the restaurant or manage the bar in the cozy grand café. Additionally, you will prepare meeting rooms for guests and ensure they remain tidy throughout the day. Your approach is hospitable, personal, positive, and proactive. You thrive on making the service efficient and effective and ensuring the highest quality for our guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the daily leadership and supervision of the two hotel restaurants.

  • Supporting the creation of F&B schedules and staffing plans.

  • Participating in leading shifts under supervision (breakfast, lunch, brasserie, banqueting).

  • Assisting with purchasing F&B supplies and inventory management, including conducting stock counts.

  • Supporting cost management and budget monitoring within the F&B department.

  • Actively involved in the preparation and operational leadership of weddings and events.

  • Collaborating on the development and execution of the event calendar for spring and fall.

  • Overseeing service quality and ensuring an outstanding guest experience.

  • Assisting with training and mentoring F&B staff.

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of new ideas and initiatives to enhance F&B operations.

  • Supporting sales activities and revenue generation.

  • Actively involved in quality control and service improvements, aligned with management policies.

  • Assisting with the organization and execution of special holidays, such as Easter and Christmas.

Job requirements

  • Enrolled in an MBO or HBO program related to Hospitality Management.

  • Availability for at least three days per week on the work floor. If you choose to do your graduation internship with us and work on your thesis, a minimum of three operational days per week is also required.

  • You are proactive and have a social character, able to adjust your tone easily for different audiences.

  • Hospitality comes naturally to you, and you know how to put it into practice.

  • You are stress-resistant, eager to learn, and a true team player.

  • We offer an internship for a minimum of 5 months.

  • You take initiative and are solution-oriented, both with guests and colleagues.
