During your internship, you will be treated as a true colleague, and within two weeks, we will prepare you with our onboarding plan so that you can independently handle quotes and work alongside our Groups & Events team.

Who will strengthen our team as a Sales & Events Intern?

Are you able to easily switch between tasks and keep track of multiple projects at once? Do you thrive on organizing both corporate and private events to perfection? If so, this is the internship where you will truly shine!

Your internship will be centered around relationship-building and achieving commercial goals. You will work on a variety of tasks, including:

  • Preparing Quotes: Within two weeks, we will train you to independently respond to quotes for both corporate and private requests.

  • Sales Meetings: You will be responsible for conducting tours and meetings with corporate clients by the end of your internship.

  • Wedding Venue Presentations: You’ll be fully responsible for organizing five wedding venue presentations throughout the year, working alongside a colleague.

  • Sales Forecasting: You’ll assist in creating a sales forecast to plan for the next five months and determine additional actions needed to meet the budget.

  • Relationship Management: You will maintain communication with bookers, give tours, and occasionally deliver small gifts to clients with a colleague.

Where will you be working?

You will join our Group & Events department at Buitenplaats de Bergse Bossen, located in the heart of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug forests. The venue has 14 meeting rooms, 5 bungalows and 65 rooms and generates over €4 million in revenue annually. The team is small but passionate, consisting of 4 people who prioritize long-term relationships and quality service.

Job requirements

  • You are currently pursuing a higher education (HBO) program related to hotel/hospitality management or a similar field.

  • We offer an internship for a minimum of 5 months (4 to 5 days per week).

  • You are accurate and have a keen eye for detail.

  • You are proactive and motivated.

  • You can create a well-organized plan and stick to it, even when things don’t go as expected.

  • You are service-oriented and eager to exceed our guests’ expectations.

  • You have strong communication skills.

  • Hospitality comes naturally to you, and you know how to apply it in practice.

  • You take initiative and are solution-oriented, both with guests and colleagues.
